Experience for yourself this once in a lifetime jump, your first jump.

To be honest 5 stars isn’t enough to represent Orange Skies. I had the most amazing experience of my life, HANDS DOWN! From the very start, everyone there made me feel comfortable and knowledgeable of what the day would look like. The team at Orange Skies set the bar extremely high! I cannot wait for my next jump and I will for sure be asking for Bob again! Thank you for the experience of a lifetime!

FAQ

What if I decide that I do not want to jump?

If you decide not to jump before boarding the plane you will be refunded all but the $50 deposit to reserve your slot. After boarding the plane the entire amount is not refundable.

What is the cancellation policy?

Your deposit is non-refundable. For any additional payments, you must cancel with at least 72 hours notice to receive any refunds. If you do not contact us before this window your payments are no longer refundable. 24 hour prior notice is required to reschedule your jump for up to 1 year from the current date. If you do not contact us before this window or do not show up for your reservation, you must pay a $50/person rescheduling fee. Gift Cards are non-refundable and may be used towards the purchase of a skydive, photos and video, or merchandise.

What happens if the weather is bad?

At Orange Skies Free Fall Center, safety is our first priority. There are a number of weather conditions that can make it unsafe for us to skydive. These can include cloud clearance, high winds, low temperatures, or precipitation. We will not jump if the weather conditions do not meet the safety requirements outlined by the FAA, USPA, or our facility. In the event that there is adverse weather we will hold from jumping until the conditions make it suitable for us to jump. Your deposit is not refundable in the case of poor weather. If you are not able to jump due to weather you will be able to use your full deposit to reschedule a jump for up to one year from the date of your original reservation.

What should I wear for my tandem skydive?

Skydiving is a sport so athletic wear usually works best. With that being said we just ask that you wear tennis shoes or similar that you can tighten on your feet. You are welcome to wear shorts or pants, but keep in mind when you land you may slide in on your bottom. It is Colorado so we recommend you bring layers, you can always leave extra jackets in your car or at the front desk if you decide not to wear them in the plane.

What should I bring with me?

Your ID, payment for your jump, cash if you would like to tip your instructor. Otherwise, bring whatever you may need to be at our facility for 3 hours. For you that could be snacks, water, sunglasses, binoculars, etc…

We ask you to not bring alcohol, drugs, or dogs and other pets (service animals allowed).

Can I bring my family to watch?

Absolutely! Your first skydive only happens once, so make sure you share it with those close to you! We have a viewing area right next to the parachute landing area.

How fast do you fall?

On a tandem skydive you will go approximately 120 miles per hour.

How long is a skydive?

The freefall portion of the skydive can last up to 60 seconds while the canopy ride will be approximately 5 minutes.

How long will my experience take?

There are several variables that can speed up or slow down the process. How busy we are that day, weather, and what time you arrive all affect how quickly we can get you on your jump. The safety briefing, gear up process, and safety check will take 30 minutes. The plane ride to our jump altitude will take approximately 15 minutes as well. Commonly, your whole experience will take anywhere from 2-4 hours. However, you should be prepared to stay the whole day to complete your skydive.

Is there a weight limit?

For safety we are unable to take anyone that weighs over 230lbs in the clothes they are required to jump in. Weight for everyone that wishes to skydive will be verified at our facility prior to your jump.

Is there an age requirement?

There is no maximum age limit but you must be at least 18 years old to skydive. A valid photo ID is required to jump.

Can I bring my own camera on the jump?

You cannot bring your own camera on a tandem skydive. We adhere to the USPA recommendation of a minimum of 200 solo skydives before a jumper can bring their own camera equipment on a skydive.

What happens if my parachute doesn’t work?

Having a malfunction on your skydive is incredibly rare. In the event that your main parachute is not able to be landed safely, all tandem skydiving systems are required to have a reserve parachute with an AAD (automatic activation device) that has been properly maintained by an FAA certified parachute rigger. All of our equipment meets the safety standards required by federal law as stated in the FAA AC No: 105-2D
